I have no interest in this franchise whatsoever (Fate Stay/Night?) but THIS COSTUME. I would love to cosplay this. It’s a million miles out of my skill range and also a character and a franchise I do not give a single crap about, but despite those massive impediments, dream cosplay.

Breaking it down a lot of the elements are moderately difficult, far from impossible though. Given enough time i think you could manage this and do a great job. The sewing elements are all challenging in there own ways but i have seen you do some great things sewing. Your work is always really neat which is already a massive leg up on most cosplayers. Armour is always a challenger at first but this is all pretty simple once you break it down to piece by piece.I think you could do it well. Work up to it for next year maybe?

Aw, thanks a lot! I think the patterning and sewing would be complicated and hard but ultimately somewhat achievable, it definitely is the armour that intimidates me the most. I have never done anything even remotely like it. But thanks for the vote of confidence, maybe in the future I’ll try to work towards this.

patterns making for clothes and armour is very similar. The secret with armour is finishing it and that’s where the experience (which in reality is just knowledge) becomes important. And with armour at least things are solid pieces. Best of luck!
